Our Emergency Dental Services

Dr. Aruri has extensive experience in all forms of dentistry, from preventative care to oral surgery and prosthodontics. He can handle any type of dental emergency, including:

  • Dental Trauma - Even if you properly care for your teeth, dental trauma can occur due to a fall, car accident, sports injury, or other incident. If you have a chipped, cracked, or fractured tooth, we can perform a root canal to remove the damaged or infected dental pulp or root tip, then restore your tooth with a protective crown. If your tooth has split into two or more parts, or the fracture extends to the root, saving the tooth may not be an option. In this case, we will likely recommend a tooth extraction. Dislodged teeth can be stabilized but may also require a root canal if the dental pulp was damaged.
  • Knocked-Out Teeth—The most severe form of dental trauma is an avulsion, which occurs when a tooth is completely knocked out of its socket. Keeping the tooth moist and receiving prompt medical attention is crucial for saving and repairing the tooth. If your tooth is knocked out, call us right away and place the tooth back in the socket if possible. Alternatively, immerse it in a glass of milk until you can reach our office. The quicker you receive treatment, the more likely we are to successfully reimplant the tooth. If too much time has passed before you seek treatment, you may require a dental implant to replace the tooth.
  • Dental Abscesses and Facial Infections—A dental abscess refers to a pocket of pus that develops in or around the tooth, typically resulting from an untreated cavity, dental injury, or poor oral hygiene after previous dental work. If you experience a severe, throbbing, and persistent toothache extending to the jaw, neck, or ear, sensitivity to pressure or temperature, swelling in your face or cheek, swollen and tender lymph nodes in your neck or under your jaw, a foul taste in your mouth, or fever, contact our office immediately. If you have difficulty breathing or swallowing, this indicates the infection has spread from your mouth to your bloodstream. Such an infection can rapidly become life-threatening—visit an emergency room right away.

Dr. Aruri also offers dental checkups, oral exams, digital x-rays, preventative dentistry, oral cancer screenings, orthodontic treatment, pediatric dentistry, fluoride treatments, root canal therapy, tooth extractions, wisdom tooth removal, fillings, crowns, bridgework, full and partial dentures, dental implants, periodontal care, occlusal disease treatment, cosmetic dentistry, and general dentistry services.
