I've been going to Dr. Corradi for 7-8 years. Great dentist & a good guy. Very honest about what you need & never tries to upsell or pressure you (cant say the same for all Manhattan practitioners). Highly recommend.

New York, NY - Midtown Manhattan Dental Arts

Dental emergencies happen to the best of us. You head off to work and your tooth starts to throb, or you're in an auto accident and suddenly feel excruciating pain in your mouth. No matter the type of oral injury or condition you face, it's easy to feel anxious and overwhelmed when there is a dental emergency that requires immediate attention. If you find yourself experiencing such an emergency, the first thing you should do is call Dr. Gilo Corradi and Midtown Manhattan Dental Arts at (212) 804 - 7158 as soon as possible.

Dr. Gildo Corradi and our qualified team of dental professionals can provide you with the relief that you need and help restore your oral health as soon as possible. Dr. Corradi obtained his DDS from NYU and completed his anesthesiology residency at Mount Sinai hospital. He has since built a great deal of experience providing emergency dental services, so you can be sure you're in good hands.

You should never hesitate to seek help when experiencing a dental emergency. Issues like broken teeth, abscesses, missing teeth, and damaged dental work can quickly lead to further issues that may endanger your health. If you've been experiencing dental problems or suffer an oral injury, it is crucial to seek care from a qualified emergency dentist in Manhattan as soon as possible.

All Patients Are Welcome

Whether you are already one of our valued patients or are simply searching for quality emergency dental care in Manhattan, Dr. Corradi and the team at Midtown Manhattan Dental Arts welcomes you. We handle all emergencies and will do our best to work you into our schedule as soon as possible.

We understand that dental emergencies can be quite frightening and often happen when you least expect them, so we want to reassure you that you will be well cared for. We'll provide you with the relief that you need and help you get your smile back as soon as possible. The following are the most common dental emergencies we see here at Midtown Manhattan Dental Arts:

  • Broken, Chipped, or Cracked Teeth—This common dental emergency typically happens due to accidental contact with your teeth. If you have a broken tooth, it's important to clean the area and apply pressure with a cold compress. If the crack or chip is extensive, you may require a cap or crown.
  • Severe Toothache—Toothaches can be caused when a cavity or other tooth issue has gone untreated. If you have a toothache that is severe, then it's best to see the dentist as soon as possible to relieve your pain and prevent future damage.
  • Lost Dental Filling—If you have a loose or missing dental filling, infection can spread to the interior of your tooth. If this is the case, then it's important to seek emergency dental services right away.
  • Lost Crown, Chipped Veneer, or Loose Orthodontic Wire—If you experience damage to any dental prostheses or orthodontic apparatus, schedule an appointment with a skilled emergency dentist. Replacing these essential items can protect your existing teeth and prevent future damage.
  • Broken Dentures—Broken, lost, or cracked dentures are a common issue for denture wearers. We encourage you to keep your dentures in a safe place when you are not wearing them, but if they do break or become damaged, it's best to call the dentist as soon as possible.
  • Uncomfortable Bite—If you're experiencing an uncomfortable bite or unusual pressure when chewing, then it's possible that your teeth are not properly aligned. This is a common issue and can often be fixed with orthodontic treatment. If you're experiencing discomfort, then it's best to schedule an appointment with a dentist as soon as possible.
  • Swelling or Abscessed Tooth—If you have swelling or an abscessed tooth, infection has progressed deep into your gum or even your jaw. This can be quite painful and may lead to complications, including infection spreading throughout the body.

If you're experiencing any of these issues, call Dr. Corradi and Midtown Manhattan Dental Arts for help. We have developed years of experience in a wide variety of dental emergencies and are dedicated to providing quality, comfortable care for Manhattan dental emergency patients.

How Do You Prevent Dental Emergencies?

While not all dental emergencies can be avoided—particularly sports accidents, motor vehicle crashes, and falls—practicing good oral hygiene can help you prevent other types of dental emergencies. This will prevent the onset of minor problems that can grow into larger issues and allow you to maintain a healthy smile. When it comes to oral hygiene, we recommend taking a few simple steps, including the following:

  • Brush your teeth twice a day for at least two minutes each time. Be sure to brush all surfaces of the teeth and use a fluoridated toothpaste.
  • Floss at least once a day. Flossing regularly removes plaque and bacteria from between the teeth where a toothbrush can't reach.
  • Use an antibacterial mouthwash that contains fluoride.
  • Eat a healthy, well-balanced, diet low in sugar and limit between-meal snacks.
  • See your trusted dentist for a professional cleaning and check-up at least twice a year. Seeing your dentist can help you identify issues before they become emergencies.

If you can follow these simple steps, you'll be well on your way to a healthy smile. For more information, contact Dr. Corradi and the team at Midtown Manhattan Dental Arts.
