Dr. Thembi Evans was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and moved to Miami, Florida, where she completed her early, middle, and high school education. After receiving a full academic scholarship, she graduated with undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Florida (Go Gators!!). She went on to earn her dental degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where she tutored high school students through the Head Start program and participated in volunteer dental missions in the Dominican Republic. After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency at the Washington, D.C. VA Hospital, including surgical rotations at Washington Hospital Center.
This was my first time at The Smile Doc and every single employee I interacted with was nothing but professional, confident, friendly and easy-going. Moving forward, my family and I will be coming here for all our dental needs.
