Brown was born in Hereford, Texas, and was raised in Dalhart and Fort Worth where she attended Fort Worth Country Day and enjoyed successful golf and basketball careers, earning multiple awards and scholarship offers. She chose to solely focus on her childhood dream of being a dentist. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree a year early from Baylor University, then a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. She was president of the honor council, Vice president of her Dental Class, and a Charter member of the Hispanic Dental Society.
